Great for family with little kids

We were there a few days ago and Khoon was everything we could ask for from a tour guide. We have one four year old and a one year old. So, following a large tour group was out of the question for us. With diaper changing and having to sit down to feed the children, we need more time than regular folks during stops but Khoon never rush us and even help us take care of the elder son while we are busy with the younger one.

As for the tour itself, it was mesmerising. We went to Kluane National Park and it was just amazing. And Aurora viewing during the night, he brought us to a little cabin with excellent clear view in a very isolated location far away fron city lights. If you can't see it there, I don't think you'll be able to see it anywhere else. Will definitely contact them again when I visit Whitehorse.

10/10! Amazing experience

Travelling with Yukon home and tour was one of the best experiences that I’ve ever had. Khoon was warm and very kind to all of the tourists. You try his best to incorporate all things good about the Yukon. He also was very knowledgable with all of the history of Whitehorse and surrounding cities and towns. You could also see that he was truly excited when tourists would experience the wonders of the north. He brought his own personal camera I would take photos to capture our moments. If anyone was to go to the Yukon is a tourist, I would 1000 times recommend Yukon Home and Tour.

The best value for my money. IF the weather is good (not rainy/no snowing/not very cloudy) you are guaranteed to see northern li

Mr. Khoon sees this as a passion project helping people clear northern lights out of their bucket list rather seeing it as a business opportunity. In -30c he with his professional camera took photos of 25 people 25 different times in freezing cold just so his clients can leave Whitehorse fully satisfied. He took us north of Whitehorse outside the city to an open area with nothing blocking our view. It is the best spot to click pictures and see northern lights if the weather is good. To avoid uncertainty in weather, I'd recommend to book 3 nights of aurora tour. I booked for one night which happened to be a snowy day. At the last minute Mr Khoon was able to book a spot for me another day at the last minute. He also helped me book other winter activities such as ice fishing, wildlife tour and dog sledding. He gave me ride back to airport and gives good deals on flight tickets. I would highly recommend him to take care of your whole experience in Whitehorse.

"Amazing Tour Guide"

We certainly had a memorable time taking photos of the Northern Lights. Khoon is an amazing guide. He is not only kind but also willing to go the extra mile to cater to the needs of everybody in our group. Anybody who comes to Whitehorse should just look for him. He has a warm cabin with large windows to look out when Aurora appears. He stays on standby with his camera in the cold just to make sure we don't miss anything when Aurora appears. Such an amazing and dedicated guy. I would highly recommend him!

Great tour with sighting at a nice cabin

I joined their tour for a 2 night viewing tour. It’s our first time and few days before I was looking at my aurora viewing app and was worried that we wouldn’t get the chance to see it on our 2 nights. We understand we can’t control it and Khoon was very positive indicating that the first day had clear skies and sometimes we can’t entirely rely on the app. We drove North 30 mins to his cabin, the tour was 10pm to 2am. As soon as we arrived at the cabin, we were already greeted by the aurora. The lights peaked around midnight and I was able to get some good shots. Khoon was able to take some good photos of us as well.

We had a great time. Khoon is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and his viewing location is great.

We rented the winter suit and it allowed me to stay outside for most of the time. However, because he has a nice and warm cabin, you don’t really need to rent extra winter clothing. Depends how long you want to stay out to catch all the dancing lights.

The second night was cloudy and we didn’t get to see the aurora. But we did a dog sledding

Day tour. Overall it was a fun 2 day trip and I think we got the most out of it.

Hopefully the weather works out for whoever goes. As long as the sky clears up you have a very good chance of seeing something.

We will definitely be recommending friends and family to book with Khoon from Yukon Home and Tour!
